The key purpose is to get more people with a balance impairment in NSW more active more often, especially children. RaceRunning allows children to be engaged with the sport from as young as three.
By establishing a structure in Sydney Olympic Park (SOP), this allows for continued involvement through regular training.
Through purchasing a RaceRunner through this fundraising campaign, there is the opportunity for people with a disability in the community to engage with RaceRunning through come and try events.
Currently, there are no dedicated RaceRunning clubs in Australia. This program gives the sport the opportunity to pilot a club based in SOP that can be a model for future development nationally.
